3rd Year, VCU Health Psychology Doctoral Program
Steph’s research focuses on the intersections of multiply marginalized identities, specifically LGBTQIA+ and disabled identities, and how these intersections manifest in physical and mental health outcomes.

Mia Dini (she/her)
3rd Year, UVA Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program
Mia is a Research Coordinator for the Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems at the Central Virginia VA Healthcare System, where she focuses on studying the trajectories of long-term functional and psychosocial rehabilitation outcomes. More broadly, she is interested in the ways that data science and psychology intersect to inform psychometrics.

Bryan Christ (he/him)
3rd Year, UVA Data Science Doctoral Program
Bryan has a B.S. in Youth and Social Innovation and a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree from the University of Virginia. His research interests are examining the educational experiences of those with disabilities in order to inform school policies and interventions and investigating how generative text models and machine learning can be employed to support educational practices.

Benjamin Ertman (he/him)
2nd Year, UVA Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program
Ben has a B.S. in Psychology and Mandarin Chinese from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Ben’s research interests include disability identity development, and studying how disability identity intersects with other identities including masculinity/femininity and LGBTQIA+ identities.

Bridget Xia (she/her)
Lead Clinical Research Coordinator
Bridget’s research interests include brain injury rehabilitation, social determinants of health, family caregivers, and adjustment to chronic health conditions. As a speech-language pathologist, she is passionate about improving access to psychological care for persons with communication disability.

Ava Godfrey (she/her)
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Ava is a current second-year at the University of Virginia majoring in Cognitive Science and planning to major in Global Studies. She is interested in studying the intersection of psychology and social justice, specifically how disparities present themselves in the field of clinical psychology.

Lucie Adams (she/her)
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Lucie is a second-year at the University of Virginia planning to major in Human Biology and minor in Psychology. She is interested in the convergence of the healthcare system and social justice. She hopes to study how resources, like healthcare and mental health services, are brought to underserved populations.

Rea Pillai (she/her)
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Rea is a current second-year at the University of Virginia majoring in Psychology and planning to minor in Data Science. She is interested in pursuing the field of research within Psychology, specifically in studying mental health disparities across minority groups and improving accessibility of mental health resources.

Olivia Chapman (she/her)
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Olivia is a current third year at the University of Virginia majoring in Behavioral Neuroscience with a minor in Data Analytics. Her research interests include the social injustices present within the health sciences field, as well as brain injury rehabilitation. She hopes to continue to investigate the mental health disparities present within underrepresented populations.
